An active approach

When June Science first approached ONBOX, they had an idea for a product but not much else. The team knew they wanted to make FastMelt probiotics but they weren't sure how to position them. Our challenge was to help this new form factor stand out amongst a sea of sameness in a dauntingly crowded category.

After settling on a brand name, we nailed down Target Audiences, identified Brand Pillars, defined Company Values, and crafted an ownable Personality built around a simple brand differentiator: Active Culture Formulas. Targeted probiotics that work as hard as you do.

Ultimately the brand strategy ended up informing the products themselves, and we worked closely with the client to help formulate custom probiotic blends that felt distinctly true to their bold new Brand Narrative.

Branding Greatness

June Science is built on the simple truth that in order to achieve your best, you need a solid foundation. And because your gut health is responsible for basically everything that makes you, you — from your mood to your muscle recovery — there's nothing more foundational. This core idea led us to the brand's strategic positioning, "Greatness Takes Guts".

On the surface this allows the brand to be intentionally bold. With a rallying cry designed to feel more at home at an extreme sports event than a medicine cabinet. The tone is gritty yet inviting. Aspirational yet accessible. Decidedly active. And distinctly unique in the space. (See ya later, Smiling-Elderly-Couple-Walking.jpg)

Beneath that, however, there's a solid, proven scientific foundation, informed by decades of research by the brand's parent company. A cleaner, no-nonsense approach and a simple black and white color palette allows the brand to be serious when it needs to be, and to drill down into more functional messaging.
